The Chairman of Eugénio Manuel Ceita of TAAG (Enana) disclosed that the Namibe Airport in the south of Angola will be put into operation again on September 6, 2013 after successful upgrading.
The modernization upgrade of the airport takes 16 weeks with an investment of 90 million U.S. dollars. The upgraded airport allows for the application of Boeing 737 and similar airplanes. It is also able to accept for carriage of 400 passengers in rush hours (only 100 before).
